If you are interested in becoming a member, you can contact us by e mailing contactstgeorges@gmail.com and we will let you know how and when to visit. We are always delighted to welcome new singers.

Between September and early May, we rehearse every Monday evening from 7.45pm to 10pm  in St George’s Parish Hall, High Steet Belfast. Car Parking is available within the grounds.  We take a break for tea or coffee half way through the rehearsal so you get the chance to get to know other members as the weeks go by.

We sing music scored for Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass (sometimes further divided into 5- 6- or 8- voice parts). Many members of Saint George’s are competent sight-readers but this is not essential provided you are able to learn the music by some other means.

Our conductor is Mark McGrath . Mark may invite you to sing a very informal audition shortly after you arrive and he can advise you where you voice will be best placed within our choir.

We aim to stage two major concerts each year, at Christmas and in late Spring. In addition we hold a range of smaller recitals, trips and charity events. Our aim is to connect with as many music-lovers  in our community as we can.
