St George’s Singers raise over £1000 for MindWise

Following a very successful and joyful concert of “Voyces, Viols and Verses” on Saturday 24 March with the Queen’s Viol Consort in the Harty Room on 24th March, St George’s Singers (Belfast) were thrilled to present MindWise, the mental health charity, with a cheque for a grand total of £1,114.63.

Saint George’s Singers is a diverse cross-community choir based in Belfast, whose musical focus is the choral works of the Baroque and Classical periods. They were delighted to have the opportunity to perform accompanied by the Queen’s Viol Consort, which comprises staff and students of Queen’s University.

St George’s Singers will be performing the Fauré Requiem and other choral favourites with two Dublin-based choirs on 19th May at 7.30pm in St Thomas’s Church, Eglantine Avenue, Belfast.
